The Big Muddy Challenge, which launched its first official event last year and now has plans to expand across the region, is offering a discount for its event at Hill Ridge Farms in April.
The parent-child mud run takes participants across a two-mile course where they must complete a variety of mental and physical challenges. (There's also, as you may have guessed, a lot of mud).
Adam Spisak, the Raleigh dad and founder, tells me that he is offering 10 percent off the fee for the April 26 event at Hill Ridge Farms in Youngsville. The code is RUNBMC2014. The deal runs through Sunday, Jan. 12.
I reported earlier that Spisak is planning two events at Hill Ridge in 2014 and adding events in Fayetteville, Charlotte, Richmond and northern Virginia.
"BMC events are taking shape for the upcoming year and we are very excited about the responses we are getting (both in [the Triangle] and outside)," Spisak wrote in an email. "In the next few weeks, we are opening up a few more events."
