HENDERSON, N.C. — A Henderson man was arrested early Monday by two bicycle patrol officers and charged with driving while intoxicated.

Police said the officers turned on the blue lights of their bicycles and their sirens before pulling over Dennis Donald Harris on Parham Street.

Harris, of 102 Heather Way, was playing the music inside his vehicle loudly and was also charged with violation of the loud music ordinance, police said.

Another police unit was called to the scene to take Harris to the Vance County jail, where he was being held under a $1,000 bond.

Harris was also charged with driving with a revoked license and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
