Best ways to beat the heat

Raleigh, N.C. — Summer means fun in the sun and heat!! So, we decided to rank our five favorite ways to stay cool in the Triangle.
Hit the pool - Local pools are always a great place to stay cool. Check out our list to find the nearest pool in your area.
Pelican's SnoBalls (various locations) - These stands offer New Orleans-style shaved ice treats with hundreds of flavored syrup options. I am a huge fan of the wild strawberry. And if you are feeling more like ice cream, try their SnoCream.
DefyGravity (Raleigh, Durham) - With locations in Durham and north Raleigh, these trampoline parks offer a great break from the summer heat. The parks have wall to wall trampolines, foam pits and dodge ball pits. The new north Raleigh location also boasts a tight-rope, rope ladder and even more foam pits.
Indoor Skydiving - Paraclete XP SkyVenture in Raeford is a little outside of the Triangle, but it is worth the trip! Their wind tunnels give you the chance to fly!
Take a brewery tour - Craft brewing is hot in the Triangle and most breweries offer weekly tours that give you a chance to see how your favorite brews are made. Some of our favorites include Lonerider and Mystery Brewing.
