Best Wake Forest Restaurants

Wake Forest has a lot of dining options and we found some places that make it worth taking a trip there if you don't live nearby.

If you don't live in Wake Forest, you might not be aware of some of great dining options available there. We have few places that are worth making the trip.

Our favorite places to dine in Wake Forest:

Brigs - Their breakfast and brunch offerings are absolutely delicious. The pancakes are has big as medium-sized pizza! Great breakfast skillet options too. They are open 7 a.m to 2:30 p.m. and located off of Wake Union Church Road next to the Hampton Inn. On weekends there is always a wait, so we recommend making a special breakfast or lunch date there.

Shucker's Oyster Bar and Grill - A wide-array of seafood options and some of the best burgers in town help make this one of my personal favorite dinner destinations. Whether you like your oysters casino or raw, you can get them there! And make sure you leave room for dessert. Their bread pudding and chocolate cake are two of my faves as well. They are located off of Rogers Road near the Little Caesar's Pizza.

Gonza Tacos Y Tequila - We were overjoyed when this popular north Raleigh restaurant opened on South Main Street. Their tacos are one of our five faves for a reason and you can't beat their atmosphere.

Fig Cafe and Wine Bar - Also off of South Main Street, Fig is known for its wine selection - 12 different ones "on tap" and the choice of 1, 3 and 6 ounce pours. A great place to try new wine from around the world. But it isn't all about the wine, they are also open for lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch. Their menus include flatbreads, entrees like shrimp and grits and bakery items.

La Foresta Italian Cafe and Pizzeria - WRAL weekend morning news anchor Sloane Heffernan actually suggested this downtown restaurant. In business since 1992, it is known for its New York-style pizza.
