Out and About editor Kathy Hanrahan tries indoor skydiving at Paraclete XP in Raeford.

— Sometimes the best gift you can give someone is an experience they will never forget. Here are a few suggestions for experience gifts in the Triangle-area:

Indoor Skydiving at Paraclete XP in Raeford - Their wind tunnel simulates sky-diving. It's so realistic that the military uses it for training exercises. Just a couple minutes in the tunnel is the equivalent of an entire day of skydiving. Paraclete

NASCAR Ride-Along at Charlotte Motor Speedway - You can choose to ride-along or even drive a stock car in experiences offered here. If you opt to ride-along, you get three laps in the passenger seat and those cars move fast. The driving options include timed racing sessions.

Escape Rooms - There are three escape rooms in the Triangle that offer a chance for you to use your brain and have fun. Raleigh Room Escapes offers the Trapped in a Room with a Zombie experience (which is funny and scary), while Tic Toc Escapes in Five Points has multiple themed puzzle rooms. Cipher Escape in Morrisville is also a great option.

Cirque de Vol in downtown Raleigh - Give someone the gift of learning the aerial arts at this studio. Classes include trapeze, aerial silks, hoops, juggling and stilt-walking.
