What would your first thought be if you LOST your cellphone? Mine would be panic ... because of all the contacts, pictures and texts on there. I'm sure you have personal information you'd never want anyone to see.

With new phones out every other day, like me, you probably have a box of old phones somewhere that you'd like to get rid of. But is your information really gone, would anyone be able access it? We wondered.

I took a bunch of tossed cellphones to a security expert. I couldn't believe what he found on them! On one, a woman's nude photos. She didn't erase them from a phone that was recycled. And that wasn't the only thing the expert found on that and other phones.

Do factory set erases work? Is there something else we should do? After talking with our expert, I changed things on my cellphone. Watch Monday on WRAL-TV at 5 p.m. to see if you will, too.
