BEECH MOUNTAIN, N.C. — Skiers can take a trip back in time later this month at Beech Mountain.
The Totally 80s Retro Ski Weekend, which runs Feb. 23-26, will feature live 80s music, retro ski fashions and old school activities like a Rubik's Cube competition, 80s karaoke and a Totally Retro Apparel Contest with a $500 grand prize.

"You dust off all your best 80s gear and wear it on the slopes. It is awesome and fun and the pictures are worth a thousand words," Beech Mountain Resort marketing director, Talia Freeman, said. "People get so into it. You wouldn't believe some of the stuff we see."

Other highlights include a talking Knight Rider KITT car and stainless steel DeLorean, which will be on display in the ski village. There will also be a Ms. Pac Man competition, Hot Tub Time Machine trivia contest and 80s ski apparel parade.
