The entire department is a traffic unit. If their chief is the best, I feel for the rest of the state.

I am very pro police, when the police earn my respect. Apex Police do not. I know exactly what I am talking about, apparently you do not. There are thefts, breakins, drug sales assaults going on daily and they only respond to to them. No proactive policing except traffic. I don't blame the officers, its a lack of leadership from the upper echelon, the town manager and the council.

This lot is in a very isolated area. Not surprised that it happened. You just can't stop all crime. Hope they catch the thieves.

You really have no clue other than what you have apparently seen. Show some proof that they do not do other police work or show some respect. I have seen them proactively engaging troubled youth who are at a crossroads in their lives, trying to keep them on the straight and narrow so to speak. I've also seem them doing traffic work which is also their job. Unfortunately there are plenty of bad drivers in Apex to keep them busy. Sounds like sour grapes coming from you to be honest. Either way, you can't possibly know all the work they do on a daily basis.

This is a serious caper, but if anyone can crack it, it's Apex's finest.

Apex Police do not POLICE. They run radar, bother people with endless roadblocks and hide in the bushes looking for a speeder. They do not do what they are paid to do. They seem to think they are a supplement to the Highway Patrol. A symptom of an out of control agency in desperate need of leadership.

What you are saying is that the police should have prevented this battery theft and were unable to do so because they were out patrolling their jurisdiction?

Doesn't matter if you are super cop, you can't prevent all crime from happening.

I find it highly amusing that you blame the police for not catching these criminals before they stole the batteries and have nothing to say about the criminals who actually stole the batteries.

How will the buses work without batteries?

    Not too good.

Why would the police waste time investigating this? It likely costs more money to investigate... View More

Well, rape doesn't have a monitary value. Maybe they should just ignore those crimes since it costs more to investigate.
