Raleigh, N.C. — In just over a week, you can watch former Carolina Hurricane Bates Battaglia and his brother compete on the next season of the CBS reality show "The Amazing Race." To get you ready, Battaglia's bar, Lucky B's, is hosting a pre-party on Sunday.
They will be wishing the guys good luck and announcing a weekly contest at the bar that will run concurrently with the race. The party starts at 8 p.m.
We at WRAL's Out and About are really excited and will be holding special Tweet Ups every week at Lucky B's to watch the show. In addition, stay tuned for some contest news from us! To get ready, we suggest you download our free mobile app.
Do you think Bates Battaglia and his brother, Anthony, stand a chance on the show?
Jonathan "Bates" Battaglia, 36, also played for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Anthony, 33, is a member of the Central Hockey League.
