Smart Shopper: Coupons

There's a new Barilla Gluten Free pasta coupon and it will be a great deal at Harris Teeter with Super Doubles!  Click on the Smart Shopper coupons link above to print the coupon. I found it under the zip code 27529.

The pasta is $2.69 at Harris Teeter - $1 coupon doubled starting 1/1 = .69 ( a very good price for anything gluten free!)

The coupon does not have any doubling restrictions on it so it should Super Double starting on Wednesday.

immortalityinmotion - Welcome to couponing!! As others pointed out, it really depends on the store. The busier stores start seeing empty shelves by 6:45 am. If you really want to get there early to make sure you get the freebies and best deals, you may want to get there by 6:30 or so.

You can also bring a few ice packs in a bag to keep your dairy/frozen items cold while you wait in line. I have done that many times.

    God luck!

immortalityinmortion: It really depends on how much you want to pick up and how many people are in the store. I go to the Capital Blvd HT in Wake Forest on the Wake/Franklin County lines around 6am and there are usually only a handful of people - usually the same ones - in the store. Most of us are in line about 10 minutes before 7am waiting for them to be able to start doubling.

When do you think would be early enough to not miss out on anything?

You can shop early and then wait until 7am to checkout. Usually HT is open 24hrs and you're basically waiting for the register computers to begin to allow doubling of coupons up to $2.

Faye, thank you so much for everything that you do for us! I have a question though as I'm still somewhat a noobie at all of this: If they start doubling coupons at 7AM, does that mean I can't start my shopping until 7AM, or can I go a little earlier and just sort of wait around until 7AM to checkout? If so, when is the best time to arrive? I've always had bad luck with getting the deals that I want, and I really would like to start my new year off right by getting as many good deals as I can. Plus, I'm moving out with my fiancee at the start of Febuary, so I really do need to stock up on some things as money will be really tight. Thanks again Faye!
