Bank robber sought in Creedmoor

Creedmoor police said Monday that investigators are looking into a robbery at a local RBC Centura Bank branch.

CREEDMOOR, N.C. — Creedmoor police said Monday that investigators are looking into a robbery at a local RBC Centura Bank branch.

It happened around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday when a man walked into the bank at 608 N. Main St., passed a note to a teller, escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled in a small, burgundy vehicle.

Police described the robber as black, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall with a medium to heavy build. He was wearying a navy blue, hooded sweatshirt, black shoes and black jeans with a yellow design on the back.

Wednesday’s robbery was the second within a week at the same bank. Police are looking for two people in connection with a robbery on Nov. 18.

A reward of up to $1,000 is available for information that leads to a conviction, and callers do not have to identify themselves.
