Bank robbed in Raleigh's Cameron Village

A man passed a note to a teller at a Bank of America in Raleigh's Cameron Village Friday, then fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash, police said.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A man passed a note to a teller at a Bank of America in Raleigh's Cameron Village Friday, then fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash, police said.

The robbery happened just after 2 p.m. at the branch at 321 Oberlin Road.

Police were looking for a black man about 5 feet 8 inches tall. Surveillance images from the bank show him with facial hair and wearing a gray knit hat, yellow or beige sweater with maroon stripes and a black or gray blazer.

Police asked anyone who recognizes the man in the pictures to call Crime Stoppers at 919-834-4357. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for anonymous tips that help solve cases.
