Bank in Cary grocery store robbed

Posted November 26, 2011

— A bank inside a grocery store in Cary was robbed Friday, police said.

Police said a man came up to the counter of a SunTrust bank inside a Kroger store, at 1273 NW Maynard Road, and gave a clerk a note saying that he was robbing the place. The clerk handed over money to the man, and he fled.

When police arrived, they thought the suspect was still in the store and moved customers for safety, police said. He was not found.

No arrests have been made.

If two criminals approach you in an alley and say "Gimmie your money" and you give it up, that affects you mentally just as much as if you got beat down. Try asking the person that got the note if she felt threatened. How did that teller know he did not have a gun at the time. Then again...what am I doing...I am probably debating a child.

Another violent crime in Cary!! One of the most underrated towns in NC for violent crimes and a police force that cant handle it!! At least the Cary PD didn't murder anyone this time.
