Back Porch Music on the Lawn lineup released

Fans packed the greenway on a mild summer day during Back Porch Music on the Lawn Series at American Tobacco Campus.

— The schedule has been released for this year's Back Porch Music on the Lawn concert series at American Tobacco Campus in Durham.

This free concert series runs Thursdays May 12 through Sept. 8. Shows start at 6 p.m.

American Tobacco’s restaurants will be open and preparing quick grab items for concert-goers to enjoy picnic style as they take in the shows. Beer and wine will be available for purchase. Picnics, coolers (but no glassware) and well-behaved dogs are welcome. No exotic animals will be admitted.

The lineup:

  • May 12: The Old Ceremony (Opener: The Backsliders)
  • June 2: Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen (Opener: The Josh Daniel/Mark Schimick Project)
  • June 16: Billy Strings (Opener: Town Mountain)
  • June 30: Balsam Range (Opener: Longleaf Pine Nuts)
  • July 28: The Stray Birds (Opener: Sarah Shook & The Disarmers)
  • Aug. 11: The Black Lillies (Opener: Jon Stickley Trio)
  • Aug. 25: The Gibson Brothers (Opener: Hank, Pattie & The Current)
  • Sept. 8: Dom Flemons Duo (Opener: The South Carolina Broadcasters)
