I BLAME THE PARENTS IF THIS IS TRUE. You get a 17 year old man to watch you 3 year old child in today's world. Why would you be shocked or surprise!!!! The report is in, so the child had to have had an examination. If he touch that child or did anything wrong to her, may he be in prison for the rest of his life where he can have his fun. I pray that she grows up to forget.

i couldn't imagine leaving a child with a teenager to babysit! and i have to say, a teenage boy that would want to babysit is a little odd

I hope this allegations are not true both for this young man and for the child in question.

I babysat from age 10 to 20 something but with few acceptions, I would not trust a teenager with my children. It is a lot of responsibility and most teens aren't up to the challenge. Until my children are older and can report everything that happened in my absience, their only sitters will be me, grandmas and aunts.

I just pray that they took the little girl to the doctors for an examination, before a mother taking the words of this girl. If you questions children of this age, they will not always tell the truth, but if they come to you, you can bet what they say is for real. I have a grand daughter and I would probably be locked up for life, and I have a 4 year old grandson, that will tell things and I believe him when he is not asked. However, when questions start being asked, he gets confused. So, let us all wait to see what the real outcome is to this story. It should not be about his gender and looks.

I read the comments. Normally I would agree with most of them, however, I know this young man. He did not do this. I must hear PROOF before I believe it. There have been MANY times people have been falsely accused of crime such as this. Remember the case in Califonia when it was learned that the parents convinced the children they were molested because of mass hysteria, and it was PROVEN beyond a doubt this did not happen. Remember Duke LaCross. If they prove it, I will be the first to condemn. However, this is a fine young man who is very innocent himself. Please wait for the facts before condemning.

Before we go off and kill him, we might want to wait for some actual evidence. So far, the only think printed was a vague accusation. Anyone with kids knows that 3 yr olds say a lot of crazy things. I wouldn't be shocked to hear that an overprotective mother took a child's comment and coaxed out a story of abuse. (I also wouldn't be shocked if a 17 yr old babysitter turned out to be a perv, but that point of view already seems well represented here.)

I'm not trying to be discriminatory, but you do not really hear about this happening with female babysitters. I have a 4 yr old daughter and I do not think I would ever feel comfortable with a male babysitter.

mOnkey, I do not assume that just because a person is gay they are going to molest a child. Likewise, I would not use the fact that someone is gay as my only reason to trust them alone with my child, if I had any.

When you trust someone, for any responsibility whatsoever, it should be based on their character, personality, integrity, and age, not their gender or sexual orientation.

I (vaguely) remember being a teenage boy, and the last thing I'd have wanted to do to earn money was babysit. Most teenage boys would rather cut grass, dig holes, clear ditches, or have teeth pulled!

I don't think its wrong at all to wonder about the motives of a boy who seeks babysitting jobs.

Lock him up for life, general population, all the other convicts will punish him jailhouse justice style once they find out while he's there. Of course, being the mother of an (almost) 3 year old myself, he wouldn't even make it to trial if I were able to lay my hands on him.

also, just because someone is gay doesn't mean they are a pedophile. there obviously are gay pedophiles but saying a gay guy would molest a male child is like saying all straight men would molest a female child.

    pretty ridiculous assumption.
