Baby's death treated as suspicious
Rocky Mount police are investigating the death of a 4-month-old found inside a home at 525 Nelson St.
Posted — UpdatedROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — Rocky Mount police are treating the death of a 4-month-old girl as suspicious.
Capt. Laura Fahnestock said a man told officers the infant had fallen between the cushions of a reclining sofa at 525 Nelson St.
Her body was taken to the medical examiner's office in Greenville for an autopsy to determine the cause of death, police said.
The investigation was ongoing.
