Baby baboon debuts at NC Zoo

— There‚Äôs a new baby in the family at the North Carolina Zoo.

A hamadryas baboon was born April 9, and zoo officials said mother and baby are doing well. Both are on exhibit.

The gender of the baby baboon is unknown.

Some other new additions at the zoo this year include an otter pup, three cougar kittens and a sitatunga, which is a swamp-dwelling antelope.
