RALEIGH, N.C. — A Wilson County man whose partially decomposed body was found in June, three days after he was reported missing, died after being shot three times, according to an autopsy report released Tuesday.

James Calvin Graham Jr., 52, had been shot in the left temple, the right chest and the upper back, according to the autopsy report.

Family members reported him missing on June 5 when his vehicle was found engulfed in flames near the area of Buckhorn Landing.

A body was found on June 8 off Cisterna Road, near Buckhorn Reservoir. Because the body was so decomposed, the medical examiner had to use Graham's medical records to match a surgical scar to confirm it was his body.

His death remains under investigation.
