Autopsy report: Raleigh man died from gunshot wound

Autopsy results show Robert George Gagnon Jr., who was found in a southeast Raleigh subdivision on July 26, died of a gunshot wound to the head.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Autopsy results show Robert George Gagnon Jr., who was found in a southeast Raleigh subdivision on July 26, died of a gunshot wound to the head.

Gagnon also sustained gunshot wounds to his lower torso and buttocks, according to the report released Tuesday.

Gagnon's body was found at 5600 Bringle Court. A neighbor reported hearing sounds of a scuffle in the home the night before, police said.

Five people face murder charges in his death: Zachary Delarente Colmore, 17, Michael Jordan McDuffie, 21, Bravette Devon Chrisp, 18, Marcus Pierre Davon Johnson, 21, and Darrell Jerome Lavine, 19.

Ebony Monique Johnson, 18, Louis Johnson III, 21, Joshua Lee Locus, 20, and Murad Terrell Taylor, 21, are charged with accessory after the fact of murder.
