KENLY, N.C. — The autopsy of a Kenly man found dead in his home earlier this month shows he suffered multiple blows to the head.

The autopsy of James E. "Tom" Cooper, 80, was released Friday.

Cooper was found "face down in his locked residence" at 111 Crumpler Road "with a great deal of blood about the face and body," the medical examiner wrote.

Investigators have said he was the victim of a robbery, and they have been circulating fliers offering a $2,500 reward for clues in the case.
