GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Authorities in Goldsboro warned residents Friday about a recent string of home invasions.

In each of three incidents, a group of black men identifying themselves as law enforcement officers forced their way into the homes of the victims and robbed them, according to a release from the Goldsboro-Wayne Crimestoppers. In each case, the victims were Hispanic.

The group said the first home invasion took place Aug. 10 on Eagles Nest Road; the second happened Aug. 25 on Holloman Lane; the most recent happened Sept. 5 on Gold Park Drive. Authorities think there may be more cases that have yet to be reported.

Anyone who has been a victim of a similar crime, or who has information about the perpetrators, is asked to call the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office at 919-731-1493.
