Authorities were searching for a suspect in a vehicle break-in in the Fuquay-Varina area Sunday, according to the Wake County Sheriff's Office.

FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. — Authorities were searching for a suspect in a vehicle break-in in the Fuquay-Varina area Sunday, according to the Wake County Sheriff's Office.
Spokesman Richard Johnson said that a man tried to break into a car in the area of Old Mills and Rivington roads and fled from police. The search was going on at Hilltop Needmore and Eden Grove roads in the mid-afternoon.
Sheriff's deputies are using K-9 units and the state Highway Patrol was using its helicopter to aid in the search.
