Authorities searching for missing Rocky Mount woman

Rocky Mount authorities were searching early Wednesday for a 44-year-old woman who went missing from a home on Foxhall Drive.

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — Rocky Mount authorities were searching early Wednesday for a 44-year-old woman who went missing from a home on Foxhall Drive. 

The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons issued a Silver Alert for Janie Marie Woodring about 7 a.m. Authorities said Woodring could be suffering from dementia or another cognitive impairment. 

Woodring is white, stands about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs about 190 pounds. She has short red and brown hair and blue eyes. 

When she went missing, she was wearing glasses, a white T-shirt with "One Voice 2010" written on it, blue jean shorts and white tennis shoes. 

Woodring was last seen traveling north in the 1700 block of Gold Rock Road. It wasn't clear where she might be headed.
