<b>SEVEN SPRINGS, N.C.</b> — Wayne County authorities were searching Monday for a man believed to have drowned in the Neuse River at Cliffs of Neuse State Park.

Authorities received a call at about 6:40 p.m. Sunday, and a dive team searched the river for a short time Sunday night before darkness halted the search.

The divers returned to the area Monday morning to resume the search, and Wayne County deputies, paramedics and first responders were assisting in the search.
