Posted December 18, 2009

— State Department of Insurance agents and Raleigh police officers on Friday arrested a Raleigh man on fraud charges.

Lamar Olin White, 26, whose last known address was 9210-66 Bruckhaus, Apt. 114, was charged with one count each of attempted insurance fraud and attempting to obtain property by false pretense.

Authorities said White sold a Hammond organ to Summit Church in Durham for $2,400, then filed a claim with Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. for $12,990, stating that the organ had been stolen from his home.
