Authorities investigating body found in Franklin County
After a three-hour search of the area, authorities located the body of a man who appeared to have a gunshot wound.

FRANKLIN COUNTY, N.C. — The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a dead body was discovered on U.S. Highway 401 Tuesday.
Deputies from Franklin and Vance counties received reports of a possible body found in the 5800 block of U.S. 401 North heading toward Warren County. After a three-hour search of the area, authorities located the body of Eddie Ronald David Jr., 20, of Henderson, who appeared to have gunshot wounds.
Authorities said David was reported missing in early October.
His death is being investigated as a homicide, but authorities are waiting on autopsy results.
