— Authorities are investigating a shooting on Interstate 40 East at Airport Boulevard Wednesday evening, the Wake County Sheriff's Office said.

Terry Lorenzo Yellock of Greensboro suffered non-life threatening injuries after he was shot at about 6 p.m., authorities said. He was treated and released from a hospital.

Two other people in the vehicle were not injured.

"The investigation is ongoing but this does not appear to be a random act," the sheriff's office said in a statement.

Investigators said they were looking for a gray or light-colored Jeep SUV.

One highway travel lane was closed while authorities investigated the shooting.

No further information was immediately available.

It's just a joke, but the guy has a point. If you watch the news, you will see there is a disproportionate number of shootings while people innocently drive down the road, shootings into houses, shootings into parked cars, muggings on running trails, etc.

Durham and Fayetteville do a lot to keep crime stats high across the state.

Something tells me that there's more to this story that we aren't being told... Perhaps the driver that got shot might have been doing something they shouldn't have been doing? Of course this could have been just another case of road rage, after all everyone knows how a lot of drivers act on this section of I-40...

Someone's never actually been to Durham before, eh? Just watch the news? Might need to visit a city once or twice before making idiotic comments.
