Authorities were investigating after a man drowned in a Person County pond Saturday. 

<b>PERSON COUNTY, N.C.</b> — Authorities were investigating after a man drowned in a Person County pond Saturday.

According to investigators, Lazarus Otis Clay, 50, was fishing when he stood up and fell over, causing his boat to capsize around 7 p.m. His body was found about an hour later.

Bernice Wilkerson, 57, was also in the boat and fell into the water. She survived, according to the sheriff's office.

Foul play is not suspected, and no charges were filed. No additional information was available.
