— Wake County deputies located a missing 13-year-old Clayton boy early Friday.

Christian Chavez went missing from the backyard of his family’s home on Pine Trail around 5:45 p.m. Thursday, said Phyllis Stephens, a spokeswoman with the Wake County Sheriff’s Office.

Chavez was searching for his dog that had run away.

Stevens said the teen was located and appeared to be OK.

He's THIRTEEN? I thought that it was normal for teenagers to get out of sight of their mommies for a little while...This might be just a TEENSY bit of the reason kids don't evolve into adults until they are about 28, now.

Glad they found the young man in one piece.

I am getting a little miffed about these overly vague stories, however. Like 'peppercorns' asked, how about the dog? Did the boy get lost, or stuck in the mud somewhere, or what? What time did they finally find him?

How about some details in these stories, guys??!!!
