ABERDEEN, N.C. — Police said Thursday that they have found the body of an Aberdeen man who had been missing for almost three weeks.

Derek Robinson, 43, was last seen Dec. 16 near his home off Magnolia Drive. Police said he had severe health problems and left home without his medications.

Aberdeen Police Department and Fayetteville Police Department K-9 units trained in cadaver recovery located Robinson's body while searching a wooded area off Columbus Drive between the Hampton Inn and the rear of the Aberdeen Pines Shopping Center, police said.

The body was sent to the North Carolina Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy to determine the cause of death. Police said foul play isn't suspected.
