Franklinton, N.C. — Authorities have closed all lanes of U.S. Highway 1 south of Franklinton due to an overturned tractor-trailer.
The wreck happened about 6:30 a.m. when the tractor-trailer lost control, and officials with the N.C. Department of Transportation said the road could remain closed until 6 p.m. Saturday.
No details about the cause of the wreck or any injuries was released. No other vehicles were involved.
Northbound traffic should turn left onto Bert Winston Road, right onto Long Mill Road, right on Pocomoke Road and continue east to access U.S. Highway 1 south of Franklinton.
Soutbound traffic should turn right on Pocomoke Road, left on Long Mill Road and left on Bert Winston Road to aovid the wreck.
