Authorities close Fayetteville road due to fire

Fayetteville authorities closed North Cool Spring Street early Tuesday morning after a building caught fire.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville authorities closed North Cool Spring Street early Tuesday morning after a building caught fire. 

According to fire department officials, the Old City Rescue Mission, near the intersection of North Cool Spring and Adams streets, caught fire around 4 a.m. 

No injuries were reported, and authorities said the fire was under control shortly after it started.

 It wasn't clear when North Cool Spring Street would reopen.
