Authorities: Cameras catch Hope Mills brothers using school playground as bathroom
An 18-year-old Hope Mills man and his younger brother are facing charges after authorities say they were caught on camera defecating on a school playground.

For the last few weeks, the staff at Rockfish Road Elementary School has been forced to clean human feces from the school's playground, authorities said. In effort to identify the perpetrator, the Cumberland County safe schools coordinator had cameras installed around the playground.
Soon after the cameras were installed, Robert Christopher Elliott was captured on video camera defecating on the playground. Authorities said Elliott and his brother also took photos of the feces.
Elliott, of the 3700 block of Masters Drive, and his juvenile brother were charged Monday with second-degree trespassing for being on school property after hours. Elliott was also charged with injury to real property and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Elliott was taken to the Cumberland County Detention Center where he was placed under a $500.00 bond. He is expected to make his first court appearance on June 3.
