Authorities block McCrimmon Parkway in Morrisville due to gas leak

Officials said the leak started at about 10:15 a.m. when an excavator struck an 8-inch gas line. 

Several townhouses near the site of the leak have been evacuated, but no businesses or other locations have been affected by the leak. 

PSNC Energy officials were at the scene at 11:30 a.m. and work to repair the leak was expected to be completed by 12:30 p.m.
