AUSTRALIA — An Australian woman who said she always wanted a big baby got her wish in January.

Natashia Corrigan gave birth to a 13.5 pound baby, who weighed nearly twice as much as the average baby in Australia, on January 24.

Corrigan also delivered the child without an epidural. Instead, doctors gave her laughing gas, which is a 50-50 mixture of nitrous oxide and oxygen.

Corrigan said the hospital staff and breathing techniques made it all possible.
