At the fair: Free riding lessons at Hunt Horse Complex

The North Carolina Horse Council wll be offering free horse rides to individuals and groups throughout the run of the fair.

The North Carolina Horse Council wll be offering free horse rides to individuals and groups throughout the run of the N.C. State Fair.

Here's what you need to know: Head over to the Hunt Horse Complex, get in line at the barn and fill out the registration form. The five-minute lessons run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day of the fair.

The horse council also will be conducting an Alley of Breeds that's designed to introduce people to the diversity of the various horse breeds.
