DURHAM, N.C. — Starting Monday, all assets from the Northgate mall in Durham will be up for auction.

A company hired by the mall owners say they will be auctioning off kiosks, store fixtures, light poles, restaurant equipment and other goods.

The auction will be online-only and go on for 12 to 15 weeks. Wester Auction & Realty is the auctioneer.

Unsold inventory from stores, store furniture and fixtures and commercial Christmas decorations will be up to bid on as well.

Last May, Northgate Mall announced it was closing for good because of the financial difficulties worsened by COVID-19.

Prior to that, developer Jeff Furman had announced big plans to transform the mall space.
