Emergency officials helped a man escape high waters Wednesday afternoon after he drove his car around barricades blocking a section of Hospital Road in Smithfield.
Posted — UpdatedThe man's car quickly washed into a water-filled ditch after he drove past the barriers at about 1:30 p.m.
