— A five-alarm fire erupted in downtown Raleigh on Thursday night, engulfing an under-construction apartment building and damaging several other structures.

The fire started just after 10 p.m. on Thursday.

Twitter was very active as soon as the fire started. People were posting photos and videos from the scene. Our WRAL reporters used Twitter to provide you with the latest information.

According to officials, the only injury that occurred was a firefighter injured from falling glass. The firefighter's injuries were not life-threatening.
