— Artsplosure on Tuesday announced the lineup for their 38th Raleigh Arts Festival next month.

For the first time, the festival will take place entirely on Fayetteville Street with a fully programmed music stage anchoring the northern end of the event and Architects of Air’s luminarium installation, Katena, taking over city plaza.

The festival opens at 11 a.m. on May 19 and features nearly 180 visual artists from across North Carolina and the country who will be selling their work.

Musical performances kick off at 5 p.m. on the main stage with sets from Phil Cook and the Guitarheels, Lacy Jags and Rise Raschid.

On May 20, festival-goers can join Blue Lotus Yoga for an hour long class on the main stage before musical sets begin at 11 a.m. with a jazz performance from Enloe Jazz Big Band.

William Bell and his 11-piece band will headline Saturday’s evening set. Also scheduled to perform are Dave Gunning, The Harris Brothers, Ed Stephenson and the Paco Band, and High and Mighty Brass Band.

On May 21, performances kick off at noon with gospel music followed by sets from Violet Bell, Tank and the Bangas, and The Commonheart. Seratones will close out the weekend with a set at 6 p.m.
