The ArtsCenter, as always the leader in bringing great family entertainment to the Triangle, has lined up two fun acts for kids this summer.
The first is Elska, who is making waves in the kindie music world. ("Kindie" is short for independent music for kids). Elska comes from an imaginary island of the same name off the coast of Iceland and sings modern pop songs that blend all kinds of sounds - vibraphones, chimes, bells, twinkling analog synthesizer, voice and more. The show mixes theater, storytellling and music. Her debut album Middle of Nowhere is winning awards.
Elska performs at 11 a.m., June 22. Tickets are $7 for kids and $9 for everybody else. Kids 2 and under are free. A family four pack is $28.
The band - a trio of school teachers from Seattle - perform upbeat, fun music for the whole family. Can't wait to see them again!
They are lined up for 11 a.m., July 20. Tickets are $7 for kids and $9 for everybody else. Kids 2 and under are free. A family four pack is $28.
Update: Recess Monkey has a new drummer. He is Korum Bischoff, who has replaced former Recess Monkey Daron Henry. And we'll have more from him as we get closer to July 20.
