Art museum offers family tours of its special exhibit

Posted July 30, 2013

The N.C. Museum of Art will offer family tours of its exhibition 0 to 60: The Experience of Time through Contemporary Art in August.

I'll have more about 0 to 60 later. It is co-organized by the art museum and Penland School of Crafts. According to the museum's website, it "highlights a current trend in contemporary art: exploring the intersection of time and art by artists who employ innovative and experimental techniques."

The special family tours are for ages 6 to 12 and their parents or grandparents. They are scheduled for 11 a.m., 11:30 a.m., noon, 12:30 p.m., 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m., Aug. 10 and Aug. 11.

The tours are free, but you will need to buy a ticket for the exhibition and get a tour pass, which you can do at the museum's box office. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for kids ages 7 and up and seniors ages 65 and up. Kids 6 and under are free.
