Arson suspected in Raleigh house fire

Raleigh police and fire department investigators were probing a suspected arson at a home near downtown Raleigh early Tuesday.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police and fire department investigators were probing a suspected arson at a home near downtown Raleigh early Tuesday. 

Fire crews first responded to the home, at 314 South Haywood St., about 12:30 a.m. It took about 25 firefighters 30 minutes to bring the fire under control. 

No injuries were reported, but about 75 percent of the one-story home was damaged, officials said. 

No arrests have been made.
