— A Saturday apartment fire in Raleigh was intentionally set, officials said.

The Raleigh Fire Department responded to the fire at an apartment at 3812 Bonneville Court just after 4 p.m. They arrived to find heavy smoke from the rear of the unit.

It took about 30 firefighters about 25 minutes to control the blaze.

Twenty-five percent of the building was damaged.

No injuries were reported.

A fire investigation report released Sunday listed the cause of the fire as arson.

It seems there have been several arson fires in apartment complexes within a couple miles of that location over the last 5-6 years.

It's a shame people set fires intentionally. Putting our emergency responders at risk and the lives of the people and animals living there. Placing people out of a home and sentimental things. Hope the person is caught and locked away for a while.
