— Authorities have arrested a man they say broke into the Wayne County courthouse in Goldsboro and stole electronic equipment.

Brent Daniel Mannis, 27, of Jones County, is accused of stealing items last Friday night or early Saturday from several offices and courtrooms in the building at 224 E. Walnut St.

Most of the stolen items were recovered shortly after the break-in, authorities said.

Mannis was already being held in the Lenoir County Detention Center on unrelated charges.

He was charged Tuesday with felony breaking and entering and felony larceny in connection with the courthouse break-in, authorities said.

Mannis was being held under a $30,000 bond.
