Arrest Made in Durham Shooting

One person is in custody after a shooting on Jackson Street Tuesday night, Durham police said.

DURHAM, N.C. — One person is in custody after a shooting Tuesday night, Durham police said.

According to police, two men attempted to rob people sitting on a porch at about 7:45 p.m. on the 1300 block of Jackson Street.

The men fired several shots as the victims ran, police said. A 21-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the chest. He was listed in critical condition at Duke University Hospital.

The shooters fled the scene in a white Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, police said.

Details surrounding the arrest are not yet known.
