Arrest made in 2009 armed robbery of Clayton convenience store

— An Angier man has been charged in the armed robbery of a Clayton convenience store in 2009. 

On May 17, 2009, a masked gunman stole cash from Sandhu's convenience store, 1225 Amelia Church Road, and left in a car stolen from a Garner church, Clayton police said.

Calvin Duwayne Banks, 32, is charged with felony armed robbery and first-degree kidnapping. He was given a $300,000 bond on the charges. 

Banks is currently in the Johnston County jail on unrelated charges.

    I am curious on how they linked him to the crime. Did they know it was him and have been searching for him? or did new evidence present itself?

    Maybe the judge will throw the book at him, then give him his keys to his car and traveling money.
