Armed robbery suspect found in library

A Rocky Mount woman suspected of helping set up an armed robbery at a hotel around midnight Friday was caught in a library Saturday.

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — A Rocky Mount woman suspected of helping set up an armed robbery at a Rocky Mount hotel around midnight Friday was caught in a library Saturday.

Olivia Botti Kafka was suspected of helping two men rob a man at the Executive Inn, 1821 N. Wesleyan Blvd. They fled in a white Crown Victoria, with a front plate that says "God is my co-pilot."

Police said they received a tip that she and a stolen vehicle were seen at the Braswell Memorial Library, 727 N. Grace St., later Saturday.

Kafka was arrested on charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and aiding and abetting robbery with a dangerous weapon. She was being held in the Nash County Jail under a $12,000 bond.

Police have not identified the men involved in the robbery. One is described as a black man, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 230 pounds. He has a goatee. The second is a black man, 6 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 260 pounds. He has a goatee.
