Armed Man Robs Wendy's Restaurant
An armed man robbed a Wendy's restaurant at 325 N. Main St. in Holly Springs early Saturday morning.
Posted — UpdatedNo customers were inside the restaurant when a man wearing dark clothing and a ski mask displayed a gun and forced employees into a back room. He then went to the register, took an undisclosed amount of cash, and fled, police said.
“We don’t typically experience those types of crimes at that hour,” Police Chief John Herring said.
The Wendy's holdup occurred a week after two armed men robbed the Exxon station on Main Street about three blocks from Wendy’s.
The Exxon holdup happened Saturday night, Jan. 12, minutes before closing time. No customers were inside and no one was injured.
Anyone with information about either robbery was asked to call the Holly Springs Police Department at (919) 557-9111.
