CARY, N.C. — Cary police asked for the public's help to identify an armed man who they believe robbed a hotel and pharmacy Saturday.

Police said that the Extended Stay America hotel, 1500 Regency Parkway, was robbed shortly after noon, and a CVS pharmacy, at 2995 Kildaire Farm Road, was hit around 6:45 p.m. In both cases, a man flashed a weapon and left the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police described the man as white, 30 to 35 years old, between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall, and weighing 180 to 200 pounds. He wore a black baseball cap and black Nike golf shirt in both robberies.

He was seen driving an early 1990s black vehicle, possibly a BMW.

Anyone in the area around the time of either armed robbery is asked to call Cary police at 919-469-4012 or Cary Crime Stoppers at 919-226-2746. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for anonymous tips that solve cases.
